FAQ

The Healing Porch was founded on a simple belief; healing begins with connection. We value personal attention, compassion, and integrity in every step of your care.

Who do you treat?

The Healing Porch specializes exclusively in adult women seeking telehealth psychiatric care for anxiety, mood disorders, burnout, postpartum mental health, hormonal mood concerns, and life transitions.

Do you treat adolescents or men?

At this time, services are focused exclusively on adult women. This allows the practice to provide specialized, women-centered mental health care. Clients in Colorado are currently eligible for individual psychotherapy services only.

Do you provide hormone replacement therapy?

No. Hormone replacement therapy is not provided. When hormonal factors may influence mental health, collaboration with primary care or specialty medical providers is encouraged to ensure comprehensive care.

Is faith incorporated into treatment?

Faith-informed perspectives are available for patients who desire integration alongside evidence-based psychiatric care. Spiritual perspectives are always patient-directed and optional.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We offer both insurance and self-pay options.

Currently accepted plans include:

  • Aetna
  • United Healthcare
  • Medicare (Florida)
  • Medicaid (Idaho)

We are actively working to expand credentialing with additional insurance plans to increase access to care.

What states do you serve?

Telehealth psychiatric services are currently available to women located in Florida, Idaho, and Colorado at the time of their appointment.

Is this therapy or medication management?

Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapeutic care as clinically appropriate. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient’s needs and goals.

What can I expect during my first appointment?

The initial visit includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your concerns, history, current symptoms, and goals for care. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, medication management, or both.
